Driving to Punsand Bay you come to a water crossing which is quite small so in we went and then the ute plunged into a deep hole frightened the life out of us but managed to keep going and get out. It was very deep well up the doors of the ute. Spoke to some locals later and we should have crossed keeping to the right. How are you supposed to know! No sign anywhere.

Been looking forward to Punsand as they do wood fired pizzas that everyone has been raving about but when we got there we were told that the pizza chef had the night off!! So disappointed but it all worked out as I had some locally caught fresh mackerel which was delicious.

Punsand also has a pool so great to be able to get into some water.

Great ‘Corrugation Bar’ here a very well laid out camp site. They even have a heli pad if you are inclined to do a scenic fly over.

We would have stayed another night for pizza but we had very little water left on board and Punsand has no drinking water.
