Fish Creek

Loved the hotel here it is very art deco and has just been done up. It has a massive bistro in the back where we had a lovely dinner. It poured down and I mean poured, lots of thunder and lightning. We were woken at 7am by a very loud siren, it was the local fires rescue calling all the volunteers to come help out with an accident somewhere or possibly flooding after all the rain.

Lots of very arty shops, wood carvings, bookshops and cafes. They have a tea cosy festival in May and in their community garden there is a big teapot! Very popular spot. The town is right on the Great Southern Rail Trail which is a 100km stretch of cycle paths going through lots of these little villages, I definitely would like to come back here with my bike and do this route.
