Fish Creek

Fish Creek Loved the hotel here it is very art deco and has just been done up. It has a massive bistro in the back where we had a lovely dinner. It poured down and I mean poured, lots of thunder and lightning. We were woken at 7am by a very loud siren, it was […]

Marlay Point

Marlay Point Moved away from the coast for Easter weekend as everything was getting very busy. Stayed at another free camp on Lake Wellington. The lake is over 30kms across and 60kms long and you can work your way all the way down to Paynesville if you had a boat. In the morning the whole […]

Marlo

Marlo Moved to a free camp just outside Marlo on the Snowy River. This is where the Snowy River flows into the sea. Beautiful walks along the estuary. There is a big sand bar with a few lakes behind it and you can walk to Frenches Narrows coastal walk where there is a raised walkway […]

Mallacoota

Mallacoota Goodbye New South Wales and hello Victoria.  My new favourite place. Stunning scenery, great walks, and beaches. The campsite is one of the biggest in Australia over a thousand sites. I know that sounds horrendous but it’s wrapped around a headland and on three levels so it does not feel massive at all. It […]

Eden

Eden Visited the killer whale museum and heard the story of ‘Old Tom’ the orca. Apparently between 1890-1930 the killer whales would herd the Baleen whales into Two Fold Bay. The pod was known as the ‘Killers of Eden’. Once the pod had them trapped a few orcas would swim to the whaling station and […]

Cobargo Cobargo pub camping Oyster beds Narooma Stayed the night behind the pub, free if you have a drink at the bar. I had to twist Simon’s arm. This town was devastated New Years Eve 2020 by bush fires where 4 people died. The town has now recovered they have a very strong community here. […]

Central Tilba

Central Tilba Went on the Bellbrook Farm Loop Walk.  Everything is so green here. Very agricultural area a bit like Wales. Lots of very nice gift shops, cheese factory, leather goods.  I think this stretch of coast from Moruya to Tilba is my favourite coastline so far. It is really stunning. Previous Next

Mystery Bay

Mystery Bay I think this is my favourite looking beach so far.  Previous Next

Moruya North Head Campground

Moruya North Head Campground Lovely campground right on the estuary and beach. Another great beach with nobody on it.  The beaches here are always empty, maybe because there are so many beautiful beaches. As we were walking out on the break water we saw a rat he had obviously been for a swim. I think it’s […]

Ulladulla

Ulladulla Absolutely poured down for a few days. Luckily for me I have bought a new tent so that when we are in Tasmania and its cold and I have to get out of the van for Simon to work I can get into my new tent. Set it up, and that was my little […]
