Stopped here for the night as this is where the ferry to Maria Island goes from. The big solar flare Aurora Australis due. Didn’t think we would see much but when I went out and took a photo of the sky it was bright pink. It’s very strange the way the naked eye only sees faint hues of green or pink but as soon as you take a photo it is so vivid. Spent hours out there just watching as it changes continuously. We had shooting flares above us it was amazing and this was all in the pub car park!
