Bruny Island

The Neck

Our first stop was ‘Get Shucked’ to taste the famous Bruny oysters. You can see the oyster boat come in and the guys shucking out the back of the restaurant. They were delicious. We are staying in a free camp just off the beach at ‘The Neck’ which is a narrow strip of land between north and south Bruny. There are usually a lot of penguins here but we are outside the season unfortunately. Decided to take the Bruny Island cruise from Adventure Bay. Luckily it was a calm day as I get seasick, saw lovely rock arches, lots of seals and lots of dolphins. A great day out.
