Mullumbimby

Middle Pub

Stayed at the showgrounds, it only reopened the day we arrived due to flooding. There has been a lot of rain along the coast.  I spent an afternoon at the Crystal Castle lovely gardens and views but a bit pricey with a $49 entry fee. The crystals are good but nothing compared to the Crystal Caves in Atherton they had a much better display.

Mullumbimby is known as ‘Mullum’ with the locals, beautiful wide tree lined streets and is quite hippified but you can see the trendy shops starting to take hold, after all it is very near Byron Bay.

Simon was keen for a walk which is unusual but then it all became clear when his destination was revealed the ‘Middle Pub’ . I tried their signature cocktail the Mullum Mule – gin, gingerbeer and lime very refreshing.
