Drove in convoy with Ed and Julie following in their motorhome to Babinda to go and see ‘The Boulders’. Lovely spot where you can free camp. There are several lookouts along the boulders one being the Devils Pool. You are not meant to swim in these zones only at the shallower area as there are lots of undercurrents and so far 21 people have died here. The water was very low when we visited but you could imagine how dangerous it would be with a torrent of water coming through.

We all had a swim and as we were leaving we saw a platypus diving nearby. What a bonus to see a platypus in the wild.
